RESIDENTS in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor are set to benefit from a new shopping precinct that will fuse fuel, retail, childcare, hospitality, grocery, and much more in a one-stop-shop convenience in Wollert.
Nationally diversified developer-builder Oreana has commenced construction on the $45 million Linfield Place, strategically located on the corner of Epping Road and Baltrum Drive.
Linfield Place will deliver approximately 3500 square metres of lettable space, with flexible tenancies ranging from 50 to 600 square metres, with construction due to be completed in early 2026.
A range of popular leading retailers are already secured for the architecturally designed precinct, including 7-Eleven, Oporto, Aspire Early Learning & Kindergarten, Snap Fitness and liquor store Bottle Mart, with leasing agents from Neim and Burgess Rawson driving success.
Located just 20 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD, Linfield Place is poised to serve a rapidly expanding local population, projected to grow by 330 per cent by 2041, making it a cornerstone of the Wollert community.
Oreana Managing Director Tony Sass said Linfield Place will become a convenience hub for the Wollert community, located close to medical and education facilities, local parkland, business, and transport links.
“Linfield Place will be more than just a shopping centre; it’s a community hub designed to meet the needs of the growing population in Wollert and beyond,” he said.
“It continues to build Oreana’s track record in developing and delivering essential amenities to improve the day-to-day lives of residents in our cities’ growth areas, and creating investments that deliver long-term results.
“Neighbourhood shopping centres have proven to be a resilient asset class, valued by investors for their convenience and a desire by residents to shop local.”
Oreana’s in-house construction team will manage the build of the shopping centre, just one such retail project in Oreana’s significant pipeline.
Oreana recently announced the sale of its Kallo Town Centre in Kalkallo for $64 million, demonstrating investor demand for well-located and high-quality residential retail.
They have a range of neighbourhood centres underway, including the $18 million Farm Gate Local shopping centre in Clyde and the $75 million Botanic Village town centre in Mickleham.
