IT is believed that a fire at the Broadford Paper Mill earlier this month was caused by spontaneous combustion.
Brigades from Kilmore, Glenaroua, Tallarook, Clonbinane, Wandong, Seymour, Wallan, and Broadford attended the scene, working quickly to extinguish the blaze which tore through paper bales.
The Mitchell Shire Group FCV, District 12 Rehab, Fire Rescue Victoria Teleboom 44, Pumper 81, Kilmore SES, and Victorian Police members also attended. The collaborative efforts of the teams working together resulted in a successful outcome on a challenging, hot, and windy total fire ban day.
