GENESIS Safety Change Table—Genesis Safety (Kilmore) has been recognised as a finalist for the 2024 Workplace Health and Safety Solution of the Year award.
From almost 150 nominations, 21 finalists have been shortlisted across six award categories for the annual accolades, which celebrate initiatives in workplace health and safety, and return to work.
The winners of the 35th Annual WorkSafe Awards will be announced at a prestigious event held at the Park Hyatt Melbourne on February 27.
This year’s awards will showcase a record six finalists in the Health and Safety Representative of the Year category, and will also highlight significant achievements in preventing workplace mental injuries and supporting injured workers in returning to safe, sustainable employment.
WorkSafe Chief Executive Joe Calafiore said it was great to find such a diverse range of workplaces and individuals represented this year.
“Our finalists come from a wide range of industries including construction, education, healthcare, and more,” he said.
“It’s wonderful to see advancements in workplace health and safety happening right across the board.”
Mr Calafiore praised the finalists for their innovative safety solutions, whether it may be height-adjustable change tables, world-first snow ambulances, or using artificial intelligence to help prevent falls from height.
“Each and every year our finalists set new standards in health and safety innovation with fresh ideas that challenge what’s possible,” he said.
“Their efforts are shaping the future of workplace health and safety.”
