Kilmore’s Mill Street bridge has been closed to vehicles.

Its closure follows a recent inspection of the bridge, which identified several structural concerns after vehicles exceeding its 15-tonne load limit were found to be using the passageway.

While vehicle access to the bridge has been closed, pedestrian and cyclist access remains unaffected.

Next year, council will seek detailed quotes for potential bridge repairs.

A decision on whether to proceed with repairs or permanently restrict the bridge to pedestrian and cyclist access will be made after considering repair costs and community feedback to ensure the best outcome for the area.
