Macedon Ranges Shire Council has new faces for its mayor and deputy mayor positions.
South Ward Councillor Dominic Bonanno has been elected as mayor for the first year of the new four-year council term, while first term West Ward Councillor Kate Kendall has been elected as deputy mayor.
A second term councillor, Mayor Bonanno said he was keen to continue working with the team and supporting the local community.
“I thank my fellow councillors for putting their trust in me,” he said.
“I am looking forward to working with the councillor team, our executive leadership, and staff. Let’s continue to make Macedon Ranges a great place live, work, and play.
“I will bring continuity and stability for the councillor group, our organisation, and community. I’ll keep building relationships and supporting innovation and continuous improvement to grow our effectiveness and efficiency.”
Cr Cassy Borthwick, Cr Andrew Scanlon, and Cr Daniel Young are representing the East Ward, while Cr Dominic Bonanno, Cr Alison Joseph, and Cr Christine Walker will represent the South Ward.
The West Ward is represented by Cr Jennifer Anderson, Cr Kate Kendall, and Cr Janet Pearce.
