Bendigo Bank’s community carols event will light up Kilmore with spectacular performances and a special film at Hudson Park later this month.
Founder of BennyGregsCreative Benjamin Gregory is combining his Christmas show Coming Together Christmas with the annual event he has been organising for years.
Coming Together Christmas is Mr Gregory’s ongoing project that airs on Channel 31, featuring a variety of festive segments and entertainment.
A major boost for Mitchell Shire tourism, Mr Gregory and television presenter DJ Peri Lee will co-host this year’s carols, which will feature performers from The Voice and Australian Idol, such as Kaitlyn Thomas, Amber Sindoni, Tahlia Pizzicara, among other artists.
Mr Gregory, who is beyond excited for this year’s carols, said it was a ‘no brainer’ to combine his two much-loved projects.
“To have a televised event where the show will be filmed professionally with camera cranes and a live TV, we’ve got a big screen in the park … we’re elevating and providing almost a carols by candlelight standard in Mitchell Shire, but in the comfort of our own backyard,” he said.
“As a member of the community, I understand how important Christmas is to so many families.
“We all get to take a break and refresh, and to celebrate the year that has been, and we urge families to come down and celebrate.
“It’s always very beautiful to have support from local businesses, and we have had almost 10 jump on to help us that brings the event to life.”
Among the performances, families will also be treated to food trucks, adorable animals, market stalls, and a visit from Santa himself.
The free event will be held on December 14, with residents encouraged to arrive by 5pm to secure a front row spot.
The pre-show entertainment will kick off at 7pm, with the carols starting at 7.30pm.
The show will be broadcasted statewide on December 22 at 8pm on Channel 31.
