The countdown for City of Whittlesea’s Carols by Candlelight event has begun.
With a jam-packed schedule featuring dancing, singing, a twilight market, and of course, a special visit from Santa, the young and the young-at-heart are sure to enjoy this special occasion.
The three hour event will take place on Friday, December 13 at the Civic Centre Lawns in South Morang, kicking off at 6pm with an energetic performance by local stars and dancers Team Dream.
Following the fun, the talented Diamond Valley Brass Band and the 65-strong member Carols Community Choir will bring the magic and their angelic voices to the stage, and sing all the Christmas carol favourites.
Carols Community Choir member and Thomastown resident Luke Condick was looking forward to the festive night.
“What I love most is the connection with everyone and just being together,” he said.
City of Whittlesea Mayor Councillor Aidan McLindon reminisced on previous events and encouraged all to attend.
“We had a fabulous turnout last year and this year looks set to be even bigger,” he said.
“Some of my greatest memories are of my first Christmas carols I went to as a five-year-old.”
While the event will boast food trucks, attendees are more than welcome to bring their own food and picnic blanket.
