Young Broadford runner Poppy Robinson recently competed in School Sport Victoria’s Team Vic trials, finishing as the fastest qualifier in both the 100m and 200m sprints.
The Year 5 Broadford Primary School student will now go on to compete in the National Championships to be held in Sydney on November 28.
School coordinator Deanne Henry praised the student’s athletic ability, stating she had a ‘bright future ahead’.
“She is an amazing talent with a superb attitude to match,” she said.
“Poppy is trained by Kelvin Lubeck in Seymour and has a bright future ahead of her.”
