Every year, the City of Whittlesea hosts an art exhibition to showcase and celebrate the work of artists who live, work, or are connected to communities within the City of Whittlesea.
Last year, the Webs We Weave exhibition featured the incredible contributions of 97 local artists and their interpretations of local and personal connections, cultural influences, and the diverse manifestations of these networks.
The upcoming Hope: Exploring the Spectrum of Possibility exhibition specifically asks artists to reflect on hope, from feeling low to very positive, from personal wishes to collective or shared goals, and all the moments in between. People of all ages and levels of experience are invited to apply and all art mediums, materials, processes, practices, and interpretations are welcome.
Entries are now open and will close on Monday, November 18 at 5pm, and entrants will receive a notification of acceptance on Friday, December 6.
Artworks will be exhibited from Friday, January 17– Friday, February 7, 2025 in the Bluegum Room at the Plenty Valley Art and Convention Centre (PRAC) at 35 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang.
