Continuing its theme of continuous model enhancement, Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) is proud to introduce 24.5 model year updates to the All-New Triton range.
The popular Triton GLX-R nameplate returns for the latest generation Triton, featuring a distinct visual identity and value-packed specification list.
Debuting for the 24.5 model year, the All-New Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R forges value and style.
Based off the GLX range, the GLX-R is available as a Dual Cab Utility, with the six-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 drivetrain featuring rear differential lock.
GLX-R also features Mitsubishi’s premium Super Select II 4WD system with Drive Mode Terrain Control System, as found in the higher-grade GLS and GSR.
The new GLX-R receives the ‘standard duty’ suspension layout also present on these higher grades. For improved control in the front, this is comprised of a high mounted upper wishbone layout paired with 36mm shock absorber cylinders. The standard rear suspension set up features three high tensile steel leaves to enable the vehicle to deliver a comfortable ride in laden and unladen driving situations.
It gains its own visual identity with additional features such as black 18-inch alloy wheels with ‘highway terrain’ tyres, black sports bar, leather steering wheel, fully carpeted floor, exterior door body mouldings, and side-step deletion.
MMAL Chief Executive Shaun Westcott said the latest generation offered the best of the best.
“All-New Triton has delivered on its promise. It is the best Triton we have ever offered,” he said.
“We have also taken on feedback from customers, media, and most importantly, the dealer network. The result is an enhanced model range and improved specification that we have been able to rapidly bring to market.
“The GLX-R has always represented great value for money, and this latest iteration has high visual appeal and true all-round capability.”
The 24.5MY Tritons are available now.
