Top trainers and their mighty steeds were drawn to Kilmore Racing Club earlier this month for a race simulation in preparation for the Victorian Spring Racing Carnival.
It was a foggy morning, but that didn’t stop the Hayes brothers, who own Lindsay Park Racing near Euroa, from floating their stable of hopefuls to have a jumpout from start to finish on the new track.
The Kilmore Racing Club recently upgraded their facilities and now boast an indoor parade ring so everyone is undercover during and after their race preparations.
Former Kilmore jockey Blake Shinn, who recently won his third Scobie Breasley Medal, rode for the Hayes brothers, and Craig Williams, who established a lifelong friendship with Shinn after living with the family as an apprentice making his way into racing, saddled up as well.
