The New Epping Health Hub, NEHH, celebrated a turning point last week with the launch of Thrive Fertility – a new reproductive clinic offering Victorians improved access to affordable IVF treatment in the north.

Situated within the new Northern Private Hospital which opened in February under Ramsay Health Care, the clinic offers women’s health services including an IFV technology, an on-site operating theatre, and a purpose-built lab.

The Northern Private Hospital is located within the NEHH, a precinct within developer Riverlee’s New Epping which will consist of 2000 new homes, commercial, medical, and retail space all connected by a central green spine and conservation areas – expected to take 15 years to complete.

The all-in-one clinic provides cost effective treatment options and reduces the need for women and couples to travel to Melbourne or interstate to access fertility treatments.

Minister for Health, Infrastructure and Ambulance Services Mary-Anne Thomas attended the clinic’s official launch, marking a step forward in the delivery of high-quality fertility care within one of Melbourne’s fastest growing corridors.

Thrive Fertility associate professor Vinay Rane said he was excited to work with Ramsay Health on the new clinic.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Ramsay Health Care, an organisation that shares our values and will help make possible our goal of 1,000 women becoming pregnant within the next 12 months,” he said.

“Being part of the largest combined health precinct in the north allows our team of specialists to innovate and collaborate, with access to an integrated network of services that allows for the entire fertility cycle to be completed under one roof.”

Northern Health chief executive Shaune Gillespie said the Thrive Fertility and its specialist team would offer high quality fertility treatment to the northern corridor.

“We are so pleased to have Thrive Fertility as specialists at the Northern Private Hospital,” he said.

“The highly experienced team coupled with state-of-the-art facilities, including a purpose-built fertility lab, will offer people of the north high quality fertility treatment not currently available outside of inner Melbourne.”

Riverlee development director David Lee said the NEHH would set a new standard for health, healing, and innovation – key cornerstones of the wider New Epping community.

“As part of our broader vision, the integrated precinct will provide new and vital infrastructure, top-tier medical facilities, economic opportunities and environmental outcomes, providing a healthy and liveable future for Melbourne’s north,” he said.
