Seymour Blasters women suffered a 32-point loss to Albury Cougars in the Country Basketball League, CBL, grand final.

The Blasters and the Cougars headed to neutral ground – facing each other at Shepparton on Saturday.

It was a close first quarter with Albury leading by two points before pulling ahead to lead 39 to 30 at halftime.

After the break, the Cougars continued to dominate the scoreboard extending their lead out to 18 points in the third quarter before taking the win 87 to 55.

Both Alex Martorella and Kasey Lennox were lead scorers for the Blasters with 14-points apiece and grand final MVP was Albury’s Aleira McCowan.

In the men’s competition, Benalla Breakers defeated Myrtleford.
