Emergency Services Foundation chair Tony Pearce last week passed through Mitchell Shire in the closing stages of Tony’s Trek, a 1500-kilometre charity walk across Victoria over the past two months.
He stopped in Kilmore for a lunch hosted by Kilmore Fire Brigade on Wednesday and met with representatives from the brigade, Kilmore Ambulance, SES, Rotary, and the Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority, ESTA.
The walk officially concluded at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Broadford Fire Brigade hosted a fundraising dinner for Tony’s Trek on Tuesday night.
The Broadford event raised $2358 for the cause. The walk promoted mental health care in Victoria’s emergency management community, with money raised going to various Emergency Services Foundation programs.
