Nominations are now open for City of Whittlesea’s Business Network Awards, which acknowledge businesses that have demonstrated responsibility and sustainability.

The awards night is open to members of the business network who can nominate their own achievements in any of the following six categories: start-up; customers service; innovation and enterprise; sustainability and enterprise; sustainability and environment; community contribution; and workplace diversity.

Chair administrator Lydia Wilson said the awards celebrated the achievements of businesses at a small and large scale, showcasing business entrepreneurs, innovators, and hardworking operators.

“We welcome the opportunity to celebrate success with our business community,” she said.

“Council is committed to supporting local economic development and to attracting new business to our growing economy.

“The awards are open to all key industry sectors and provides a unique opportunity for businesses of all types and sizes to be recognised for their efforts, commitment and successes.”

Nominations close on March 24 and finalists will be announced on April 5.

The Business Network Awards ceremony and dinner is at the Mantra Hotel in Epping on May 18.
