ST PATRICK’S Primary School year three student Erin Lawson has taken a top-three spot in the Alliance Française Berthe Mouchette Competition after having taken part in the finals in August.

Erin placed third among 350 year three students after reciting her chosen poem ‘A French Man and A French Lady’ to the judges via Zoom at home with her mother.

Erin said she was happy with the result, and her classmates made a card to congratulate her.

Chloe Rees, another year three student at St Patrick’s Primary School, also participated in the finals of the competition and placed highly.

French teacher Quentin Berlatier said he was pleased to see St Patrick’s represented among the winners, who all came from ‘fancy schools’ in Victoria.

Prizes will be announced and certificates given out to participants at a presentation night in Melbourne in December.
