SHERWIN Rise Retirement Village is revealing its new clubhouse and wellness hub at Wollert Wellness Festival on October 22.
Construction company Lendlease installed many features to accommodate the retirement village, including an indoor heated pool, change rooms, a gym, health consulting rooms and new landscaped greens.
The hub offers areas to entertain and pamper, including a cinema, hair and beauty salon, bowling greens, resident bar and kitchen and a barbecue entertaining area.
Lendlease retirement living management director Nathan Cockerill said the clubhouse and wellness hub would inspire the over-55 community to socialise and relax in a village area.
“Resident wellness is our priority, and we want our residents to have a healthier and happier connected lifestyle in this new community,” he said.
“We inspire residents to thrive and be the best version of themselves by fostering connection and increasing access to health and wellbeing services and programs.”
Residents will have greater access to social events and wellness programs organised through the village management team, along with a health and wellbeing coordinator that supports seniors to focus on mental and physical health.
The opening event at the Wollert Wellness Festival welcomes families and friends to participate in a range of activities such as barefoot bowls and barbecue, food trucks, complimentary hand massages, blow waves, fresh juices, and other engaging activities.
Former Wollert resident, AFL Brownlow medallist and current Richmond football player Trent Cotchin will also be present to share the importance of health and wellness with visitors and to sign autographs.
The Wollert Wellness Festival will be from 10am to 4pm at the Sherwin Rise Clubhouse and Wellness Hub, located at 40 Chetwynd Grove, Wollert – entry and parking is via Anglesea Drive.
