Charges laid after Woodstock industrial waste dumping

The Environment Protection Agency, EPA, has charged a person with 10 offences after finding dumped and burned industrial waste on an unlicensed property at Woodstock, east of Donnybrook.

The charges relate to the Environment Protection Act 2017 and the Environment Protection Act 1970.

The charges related to the person allegedly dumping and burning industrial waste on an unlicensed property at Woodstock.

The charges include receiving industrial waste; contravening the duties of a person receiving industrial waste; contravening the duties of a person depositing industrial waste; contravening an Environmental Action Notice; contravening an Information Gathering Notice; and hindered an authorised officer carrying out duties under the Environment Protection Act 2017.

The person was charged on June 27, and is required to attend Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on August 17.
