THE DPV Health drive-through COVID-19 testing station at Mernda has changed locations from Friday.
Previously located at Woodland Waters Reserve on Waterview Drive, Mernda, the testing site is now at Mernda Station car park.
Testing will remain open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
People with any symptoms: fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss or change in sense of smell or taste, are encouraged to be tested immediately.
The test takes about one minute and involves a swab from the back of the throat and nose.
Bookings are not required in order to be tested. The test is free.
People need to bring at least one form of identification, for example, Medicare card, driver’s licence or student ID.
People who have symptoms, must return home immediately after the test and remain in self-isolation until they receive their test result.
If people are worried they will lose pay while waiting for results, they may be eligible for a State Government payment of $450.
