THREE people will face court in December charged with kidnapping a Whittlesea woman in July this year.
Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested a 36-year-old Doreen woman, a 24-year-old Warburton man and an 18-year-old Lilydale man in connection with the alleged kidnapping, which took place at a Whittlesea property on July 29.
The three people allegedly forced open the door of the property at about 10.30pm, overpowering the woman before tying and blindfolding her and forcing her into the boot of a car.
The woman managed to untie herself and escape from the vehicle after it had left the property.
The two men were remanded in custody, while the Doreen woman was bailed.
The three alleged offenders will face Melbourne Magistrates Court of December 8.
