MUSICAL artists have the chance to entertain people from their homes during COVID-19, with young promoter Benjamin Gregory creating an online platform for artists to stay connected.
Mr Gregory has invited artists to visit his Facebook page, Benny Gregs, to get involved, or to contact him via his website events@bennygregs.com.
“The live stream was created to give artists opportunities to perform and connect with their fans again,” Mr Gregory said.
“The lack of social interaction between musical artists has been really hard for them and this regular event is important in maintaining a social connection between artists and their community.
“Three to five artists each week get to perform a song, and the Facebook community can comment, share and interact with the artists.”
Each Thursday night, people can watch the livestreams and enjoy the performances by artists from the comfort of their living rooms.
“I really just hope it makes people feel warm and happy to know people are actually caring about them and trying as hard as we can to keep ourselves busy and really just be some music relief to help their Thursday nights,” he said.
“The response has been incredible; we have had over three episodes more than 12,000 interactions and 15 artists. It was meant to be a two-part series but has gotten so popular we are going for another three to six weeks.”
