KILMORE and Wallan players featured in the Northern Football Netball League’s (NFNL) junior presentation night at the Union Hall at La Trobe University.
Representing the NFNL earlier this year, both teams were able to take awards in representative football, with Wallan’s Billy Brundell winning the under 15 division one boys representative award, while Kilmore’s Olivia Fitzpatrick was the best representative in the 15 and under netball reserves.
The first top three finish of the night for either team was in the under 11 division three best and fairest, with Kilmore’s Thomas Sutton finishing equal third on 11 votes.
In the under 12 girls division two best and fairest, the Blues’ Chanel Jowett finished equal third on 14 votes.
Remy Breen had a good season in the under 13 division two best and fairest, scoring 17 votes.
It was Alby McGivney who had the best season in the region, scoring the under 14 division two best and fairest, polling 20 votes to win by three votes from Whittlesea’s Adam Reginato Junior.
In the under 14 girls second division, Melanie Eaves tied for third, with the Wallan player scoring 13 votes.
The under 14 division three girls saw Kilmore’s Olivia Cutler score 12 votes to finish in third position.
The final accolade of the night went to Wallan’s Oliver Norman, who finished equal second in the under 16 division two boys best and fairest with 17 votes.
