A TALENTED and enthusiastic group are stitching up a storm in preparation for their biennial craft exhibition, with the Lancefield Quilt show later this month.
A Patch of Lancefield craft group will showcase over 50 exquisite quilts and host pop-up shops with Black Forest Quilting and Sew Together at the Mechanics Institute, 4 The Crescent, in Lancefield on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, from 9am to 4pm.
The exhibition has a $5 entry fee, and raffle tickets to win ‘Happy Day’s’ a group project are just $2.
There will be a special prize named in honour of the groups original president Triz Barnett, for the best hand pieced quilt.
In addition to morning and afternoon teas including freshly made scones, with jam and cream, sausage rolls and soup, the raffle prize will be drawn on Sunday afternoon.
A Patch of Lancefield always welcomes new members, and they meet every Thursday at the Annex to the Mechanics Hall, in Lancefield from 10am
