FIVE local community organisations have secured a share of $60,000 in grants following this year’s Jar Wars event, with the Frontline Kitchen taking out the top prize of $38,000.
Hosted by Community Bank Wallan, Kilmore and Broadford, Jar Wars 2026 brought together community organisations at The Grove in Hidden Valley on Wednesday night, to pitch their projects for a share of the funding.
The event also gave attendees the opportunity to have their say with each person receiving a voting token to support their favoured project.

The Frontline Kitchen was awarded first place, followed by OKR FM, which received $10,000. Mitchell Rangers Soccer Club secured third place and $5000, while Second Chance Animal Rescue received $4000 in fourth place. Mange Management rounded out the five grant recipients, taking home $3000.
The funding earned will support these projects aimed at strengthening the surrounding local communities. All the organisations present initiatives designed to make a positive difference across the region.
Community Bank Wallan, Kilmore and Broadford thanked all the attendees, supporters and participating organisations who made the event possible.
