THE City of Whittlesea Community Festival has announced its live performances for Sunday, March 15, with plenty of activities at the Civic Centre Lawns.
The lawn stage will have plenty of music and cultural performances, which will be headlined by popular Melbourne act Horns of Leroy, and features global sounds, contemporary beats and high-energy entertainment.
Also featured will be Junklandia, which is a music show based on using recycled materials to turn into instruments.
Bunktopia will play a key part, which is a playful shadow-puppet show using household itemt to tell stories.
Finally, the aerial performance Bloom! will be shown on custom-built sway-poles, which is inspired by flowers and nature.
City of Whittlesea Mayor Councillor Lawrie Cox said there will be plenty to enjoy at this year’s Community Festival.
“The Community Festival is a wonderful way for people of all ages to come together, celebrate our creativity, and enjoy a fun day out. We can’t wait to welcome families, friends, and pets to share in the performances, activities and community spirit,” he said.
“The festival is a celebration of everything that makes our community vibrant – from music and theatre, to food, activities and cultural experiences. It’s a day for everyone to have fun and enjoy all that the City of Whittlesea has to offer.”
