NEW facilities are now open at Doreen Primary School for students and teachers to benefit from, with Member for Yan Yean Lauren Kathage helping open the new buildings last Friday.
The $5.3 million upgrade has delivered new classrooms along with upgraded administration and staff buildings – creating brighter, more flexible learning spaces and the modern facilities a growing school community needs.
The new classrooms will give students a fresh start in purpose-built environments that foster creativity and collaboration. The upgrades also include improved administration and first aid areas, ensuring students and families are supported in a safe, well-equipped environment.
Ms Kathage said she was thrilled that the students were going to be able to reach their potential.
“Doreen Primary has always been a place where every student is valued, supported and encouraged to reach their potential – and now its facilities reflect that spirit,” she said.
“These new spaces mean students can learn in modern, flexible classrooms, while teachers have the room to collaborate and build a strong culture. It’s a huge improvement that will make every day at school brighter for students, staff and families.”
