RANIKA Guyton was adjudged to be the division two women’s MVP at the Big V awards, on a weekend where the Wallan Panthers also had its MVP awards.

Guyton, unsurprisingly, was also named the Panthers’ MVP for the division two women’s campaign, capping off a dominant season where she controlled the pace of play in every single contest.

Guyton’s ability to score at will saw her finish with 20.6 points per game, while also collecting seven rebounds a game and 3.9 assists.

Guyton and dominant centre Emmie Gardiner were named in the All Star Five for division two.

Maddison O’Nial took the Panthers’ defensive player of the year, while Guyton also claimed players’ player.

In the division two men’s competition, Jon Bailey was named Wallan’s MVP after a big season manning the paint at both ends, while Lachlan Lombardo was named defensive player of the year. Jordan Sullivan was named players’ player.

The title-winning youth league men were celebrated, with Luke Cairns claiming MVP and the defensive player of the year, while Jamal Abbas was named players’ player.

Kaleb Graham was successful in being named in the All Star Five for the competition.

The women’s youth league team saw Chloe Mott claim MVP for the Panthers, while Chloe McAullay was defensive player of the year. Roisin Kerr claimed players’ player.
