THE well named 3 year old Bring Me Power stormed home for a powerful win over 1100 metres at Ballarat last Tuesday at only his third start for Seymour trainer Charmaine Barnes.
Ridden by Lachie King, Bring Me Power jumped handy and settled just in behind the pace before clearing away for a comfortable win. Bring Me Power is by the top English galloper Power, who raced only 9 times for 5 wins, which included 2 group 1 wins.
Originally retired to stud at the renowned Cambridge Stud in New Zealand, he was the leading first season sire in that country.
He then relocated to Queensland. Barnes, a qualified vet nurse who trains a small team of mainly pre-trainers from her base in Seymour, intends aiming Bring Me Power at the Pakenham Sprint Series.
