SCHOOL holidays are just around the corner, for government run primary and secondary school students they officially begin on Monday, July 7.

Across the region winter holidays needed be an indoor theme, there is plenty to do thanks to the City of Whittlesea Youth Team.

Let’s get physical!

Nerf battles and basketball games will be held at Smash X Epping, on Monday, July 7. All the equipment is provided, and the free games are supervised with ages 8-12 taking their positions from 10am to 12pm and ages 13-18 setting the pace from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

There’s something for everyone, fancy chocolate making and a digital design workshop?

Youth between the ages of 12-18, are invited to dive into a dark and creamy sensory experience and to use their imaginations to digitize ‘something’.

It’s a free and unique opportunity to combine technology with sugar and its free! The workshop will be held at Whittlesea Tech School, 415 Dalton Road, Epping on Wednesday, July 9 from 10am to 2pm.

What’s on at the movies?

Save the date for Superman’s Legacy, it’s this winter’s holiday blockbuster at Village Cinemas Westfield Plenty Valley, on Friday, July 11 from 11am to 1.30pm at just $5 per person, and that includes popcorn!

Grab a friend or go Han Solo, any which way, make it one to remember, everyone is encouraged to come dressed as their favourite superhero for the chance to win fun prizes, for ages 12 -18.

Night vibes!

The first evening event will be held at the Mill Park Library from 6pm to 8.45pm on Friday, July 11 when the Youth Take Over (YTO).

There will be games, music, conversation and catering. The free event is perfect for winding down after a long day or for discovering something new…suitable for ages 15 to 25.
