Inland Rail contractor, John Holland has several rail deliveries scheduled to take place on the rail corridor near Hamilton Street bridge and Short Street bridge Broadford work areas on Monday, 30 June between 5am-10am, and nearby residents may notice some vibration.
Machinery being used to unload the rail deliveries include a rail train, excavators and loaders with environmental controls will be in place for noise, dust, vibrations and vegetation protection.
An Inland Rail spokesperson has said the works are expected to generate medium levels of noise with occasional higher volumes as the lengths of rail are delivered north of the train station, the northern end of Ferguson Street, the bowling club and the end of Rosie Drive/Last Street.
Worksite safety is paramount, and inclement weather can cause cancellations at short notice, and should this occur, works will be rescheduled.
