A ROAD policing operation in the Mitchell Police Service Area has been successful in targeting dangerous and inappropriate driving.
Initiated in response to an increase in serious incidents on the roads in the shire, preliminary findings as of Thursday showed that since Operation Target’s implementation, 768 vehicles had been intercepted, 2105 preliminary breath tests had been conducted, 21 vehicles had been impounded, 118 offenders had been processed, 150 infringement notices had been issued, two offenders had been remanded, and 91 preliminary oral fluid tests had been conducted.
