RESIDENTS can now adopt a pet through the new Epping Animal Welfare Facility pet adoption webpage.
The pet adoption website, launched earlier this month, allow people to easily search for their next pet and is updated daily with new listings, including information on health and temperament checks to ensure they are suitable for adoptions.
The new webpage provides information about each animal including their age and a biography.
Epping Animal Welfare Facility is managed through the City of Whittlesea on behalf of Merri-bek and Darebin councils.
City of Whittlesea chief executive officer Craig Lloyd said the new website would help connect pets with a loving home.
“The wellbeing of animals in our care at the facility is of utmost priority,” he said.
“Our aim is to reunite owners with lost pets as quickly as possible, but this can’t always happen for a variety of reasons.
“The pet adoption site will help the Epping Animal Welfare Facility connect future pet parents and their perfect friend.
“It is extremely important to council that pets are adopted into households that are suited to both parties. We want this to be the pets’ forever home.”
