NATIONALLY-renowned Australian hip hop artists Allday and JK-47 will headline a youth music event in Broadford next month when The Push All-Ages Tour visits Mitchell Shire.
Allday and JK-47 will be joined by a host of other homegrown musical acts and artists from Triple J Unearthed’s line-up.
The Push is a Victorian youth music organisation dedicated to providing young people with access to contemporary music programs and events.
Broadford Stadium will be one of 20 regional and outer-suburban locations for this year’s The Push All-Ages Tour.
Each of the 20 events will be staged by teams of local young people as part of the State Government’s FReeZA program – a youth-development initiative that provides young people with industry skills and experiences in staging events in their communities.
People aged 12 and 24 who would like to be part of a Mitchell Shire VOLUME crew, which will host this and other live music events throughout the year, can email youth@mitchellshire.vic.gov.au to find out how to get involved.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said The Push All-Ages Tour was expected to be one of the best all-ages events in recent memory.
“It’s great to see events like this happening again, and we’re so lucky to have Broadford included on the tour,” she said.
“We have so many talented young musicians in our community and this is a great opportunity for them to perform in front of a large crowd.
“I look forward to seeing people of all ages reconnect and enjoy live music from emerging artists.”
Tickets to the tour are on sale now through Moshtix. All tickets are $20 plus booking fees. For tickets and more information people can visit www.mitchellshire.vic.gov.au/events.

What a fantastic local event. Congratulations to Mitchell Shire Youth Council who have most likely been instrumental in making this event happen. Our region has some hugely talented young musicians and it is just a joy to see them given performance opportunities. Let’s all get out there and support them.
