Service station to close for roadworks

THE northbound Hume Freeway BP service station in Wallan will be closed from Sunday night to early Monday morning while essential asphalting works take place on the freeway exit.

To ensure the safety of the community and crews, there will be no access to the service centre from 8pm Sunday, November 8 to 5.30am Monday, November 9.

Drivers can access fuel and food at northbound services centres in Donnybrook and Tallarook.

There is also a freeway rest area on the Hume Freeway northbound past Wandong, approximately 10km from the Wallan service centre.

Traffic management will be in place while the Wallan works are undertaken, with one lane of traffic closed on this section of the freeway and the speed reduced to 40 kilometres per hour.

Delays are expected to be less than five minutes.
