Kilmore police’s Operation Hoon got off to a successful start last week with two impoundments, two other people charged with traffic offences and three penalty notices issued.

With more shifts scheduled over the next fortnight, Mitchell Police Service Area Inspector Peter Koger said he hopes to see some good results come in with some help from the community.

“We put it on the Eyewatch Facebook page last week and as a result, we had a really good response from the community about persons of interest and locations of hoon activity,” he said.

“It was a really good response. There were a number of complaints from that post that told us of locations that really annoyed the public so this operation is good to target those locations now that we know where we’re looking.”
