A DRUG bust in Wallan has led police to charge three people with possession of methylamphetamine and one person with drug trafficking, possession of prohibited weapons and other related offences.
Sergeant Bob Derrett, from Seymour Divisional Tasking Unit, said police executed a Drugs Poisons and Controlled Substances Act Search Warrant at an address at Telopia Avenue in Wallan on Thursday, resulting in four arrests.
“Information was provided to us from members of the public,” Sgt Derrett said.
“People were concerned about cars turning up to the address. Our guys conducted some surveillance, obtained relevant information and executed the warrant first thing on Thursday morning.
“Four people were caught off guard and an extensive search of the house was conducted. Police seized methylamphetamine, GHB and prohibited weapons.”
The main offender was charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, bailed and due to face Seymour Magistrate’s Court on April 14.
