Laurimar Power escaped a scare to extend its winning streak to seven with a 25-point win over Reservoir on Saturday.
The Power are now two games clear on top of the NFNL division three ladder at 7-0 while wooden spoon favourites Reservoir are in the opposite position at 0-6.
The Thoroughbreds pushed Laurimar early as the sides were just separated by two points at quarter time.
The Power created some distance in the second term, kicking three goals to one to lead by 17 points at half-time.
With nothing to lose facing the top team, Reservoir drew level at three-quarter time after holding the Power to a single goal and kicking four of their own.
Laurimar’s class shone through in the final term as the ladder leaders proved why they’re in that position, kicking five goals to one to seal the win.
