Demons outclassed early

Mernda wasn’t able to get a result out of its trip to Panton Hill on Saturday, going down by 54-points for the Demons’ second consecutive loss.

The Demons were up against it right away as Panton Hill piled on 10 goals to three in the opening term to take a 44-point lead into the first break.

A high-powered second term saw the two sides kick 12 goals between them as Panton Hill extended the lead to 56 points at half-time with a seven goal to five quarter.

Scoring slowed down in the third term with both sides evenly matched, kicking 2.2.14 each.

Mernda continued to compete and kicked four goals in the final term, but each received a reply from Panton Hill as the hosts cruised through to a win.
