Romsey’s Aurora Joy Photography has been named one of the 50 winners of the Commonwealth Bank’s CommBank Matildas on Loan competition and will have the national sporting heroes support them in an advertising campaign aimed at backing small businesses around Australia.
Teacher turned fulltime family photographer, Emma Baker, founded Aurora Joy Photography ten years ago to specialise in newborn, children’s, family, maternity, and business branding photography. Based in the heart of Melbourne and serving customers throughout the surrounding areas of regional Victoria, Aurora Joy Photography is dedicated to capturing key life moments in every family’s journey.
Each of the 50 competition winners will receive an advertisement for their business alongside the CommBank Matildas, which will be distributed by the Commonwealth Bank via billboards, radio, and CommBank Branches, as part of a national advertising campaign. Each winner will get a tailored campaign to promote their business within their respective communities.
“Aurora Joy Photography isn’t just a business, it’s a lifelong passion. Growing up, I always had a camera in my hand and after I had my first child, I picked up the camera again and really made a go of it. Now my daughter is 12 years old and she gets to see her Mum doing what she loves and getting the support of these amazing, strong and talented CommBank Matildas,” Ms Baker said
CommBank Matildas defender, Charli Grant, spoke about her personal connection to Aussie small business: “I have friends that own a business, and I know how much hard work goes into it. I definitely have a newfound appreciation for them.”
