Marketing and Media Manager Amanda Smith said she was proud of the team.

“[I’m] really proud of the team for performing so well during the judging period,” she said.

“At the hotel, we’re always striving to do better and improve and its great recognition for the area. It’s really, really exciting and great for the golden region.

“We try to bring new ideas and bring new experiences to the area as much as possible … trying to think of new ways to get people from the city to come out and see this beautiful part of the world.”

Ms Smith said it was an honour to be recognised next to major businesses in Victoria.

“We’re really happy that the region is getting this recognition, and hopefully brings more people out to see how beautiful it is out here,” she said.

Tastes of the Goulburn was also named a finalist for its food and wine festival that occurs in Seymour’s Station Street every year.

Established in 2002, Tastes of the Goulburn is a not-for-profit event managed by a committee of dedicated, experienced and creative volunteers.

Tastes of the Goulburn Co-Chair Anna Rogan said the recognition was a tribute to all the hard work over the years.

“Over the past few years, we have worked hard to transform Tastes from a great day out to a flagship regional food and wine festival for locals and visitors alike,” she said.

“The event is now a wonderful showcase of the food, wine, culture and people of the Goulburn Valley that drives genuine investment in the region and creates a sense of pride and excitement in our communities.”

The 2024 Victorian Tourism Awards Gala Ceremony will be held on November 21 at the Palladium at Crown.
