Ambraya, also known as Amber Sindoni, elevated her artistry this year, earning her place in the knockout round on Channel 7’s The Voice.

Ms Sindoni has performed multiple times in the Mitchell Shire, collaborating with BBGROUPAU which was founded by her best friend Benjamin Gregory.

Last year, the two friends released their book titled I’m Safe, Happy and Healthy, dedicating the story to Mr Gregory’s late mother.

Stepping on a much larger stage, the national reality show changed its judging panel, with coaches LeAnn Rimes, Kate-Miller Heidke and Adam Lambert to join Guy Sebastian this season.

Taking on Demi Lovato’s big powerhouse song ‘Anyone’, Ms Sindoni turned two chairs before choosing American singer LeAnn Rimes as her coach – an inspiring figure for Ms Sindoni.

Ms Sindoni admitted that she ‘blacked out a little’ during her blind auditions considering how big the production was.

“It’s really interesting because it doesn’t feel real, people I know that have also been on the show compared it to being on a video game, and that’s exactly what it feels like,” she said.

“They opened the doors, and it is a set, but … every step I took, I knew the weight of the moment and how many people will eventually watch this moment.

“I was able to express myself freely within the song. As scary as it was, the first time performing on that stage … [the song] felt the most authentic to me and just the stylistic choices.”

The most competitive round on the show, Ms Sindoni needed to impress her coach in the battles.

Ms Sindoni was partnered with Natalie Colavito in the battle round, making Hozier’s ‘Take Me To Church’ as their own.

“It’s never been covered by two females before like on television, so I really wanted it to be like a powerhouse moment, and absolutely rip into it,” Ms Sindoni said.

“It was mixed emotions to be honest [after I had won the battle]. I wasn’t really expecting it.”

Advancing to the next round, Ms Sindoni made her exit in the knockout round, where she performed Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ in the young girls’ voices theme.

Despite the different stylings, Ms Sindoni remained proud of her journey.

“It’s been a lot of self-reflection … and what my next step in my career is. I think there’s so much more that I feel I have to give,” she said.

Sharing more of her talent in the Shire, and across the world, Ms Sindoni plans to release more music and will be performing at Camp4Cancer next month.
