Offering a range of high quality and flexible childcare and kindergarten services, such as occasional and long day care, 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten, Kekeco’s centres ensure parents can maintain their work, study, and life balance, and welcomes all families with open arms.

One of Kekeco’s priorities is providing children with the opportunity to explore and engage in outdoor play. Their recently launched Bush Kinder program, funded by the State Government’s School Readiness Funding, does just that.
The Bush Kinder program involves spending playtime outside, allowing children to explore their natural surroundings, and learn about gum leaves, trees, insects, and whatever else takes the children’s interest. Indigenous learning is at the heart of the Bush Kinder program, and like First Nations people, Kekeco ensures the children tread carefully and leave the environment as they found it.

Early Childhood Educators

Choosing a childcare provider can be a daunting task, but Kekeco ensures parents that only the best of the best are employed. With the importance of early childhood educators at the forefront of their operations, finding qualified staff to deliver Kekeco’s Early Learning programs is Karyn Homewood’s role.

With these figures often laying down the foundations of children’s future academic success, Ms Homewood works hard to ensure that their staff are ready, willing, and child focused.

She noted that strong relationships with nearby schools and training providers helped students find work experience and practical placement at the centres to obtain their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

“We will work with schools and training organisations for people of all ages looking to develop their skills – anyone who is willing to learn and follow a path in childcare,” she said.
