Mitchell Shire Council is inviting the community to help shape the future of the shire incorporated in a vision for the municipality that reflected the community’s hopes and aspirations for the future.
The Mitchell Community Vision is that by 2050: We are a healthy, vibrant, and connected community that values nature, diversity, and innovation.
Themes in the vision include vibrant communities, working, learning, tourism, ravelling and getting around, shaping neighbourhoods, nature and parks and climate action.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Cr Louise Bannister said that refreshing the vision consultation is an opportunity for every resident to share their thoughts, hopes, and ideas about how the community can collectively shape the future of Mitchell Shire.
“Your input is invaluable to this process, and I encourage everyone to participate in the consultation. By engaging with our community and gaining your insights, we ensure that our journey towards 2050 is not just a shared vision but a shared commitment to a future that reflects our community’s diverse needs and aspirations,” Cr Bannister said.
