A culvert on Three Chain Road, Moranding will be reconstructed to provide better access along the road as part of Mitchell Shire Council’s Capital Works program
Mitchell Shire CEO, Brett Luxford, said that the culvert is in poor condition and requires the works to allow for continued safe vehicle access.
“The works are extensive and will require the closure of Three Chain Road, with detours diverting traffic through Jeffreys Lane,” Mr Luxford said.
Motorists are advised to follow all detours and allow for extra time if Three Chain Road is part of their journey.
Works are planned to start in April and will take approximately eight weeks, subject to contractor’s availability and weather conditions. Construction works will be carried out from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday with possible construction works undertaken between 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
Every effort will be made to minimise the noise level from construction activities. For more information, community members can call Council on 5734 6200.
