Whittlesea Football Club is well prepared for the coming season with the appointment the senior leadership group for 2024
Xavier Dimasi is the senior’s Captain for the coming season, and he will be assisted by Paul Higgins as Vice Captain. The Eagles’ Deputy Vice Captains are Mitchell Andrews and Deakin Tennant.
Adding to the Eagles’ pre season achievements was the listing of two of the club’s under 19s players to clubs in the Coates Talent League.
Hamish Caine in the Calder Cannons Under 18s squad and Fin Skehan in the Northern Knights Under 18s squad.
Another Northern Knights selection from the Eagles is Emily Wunderlich (U18 Girls). The trio are described as having an outstanding commitment to the club and its values.
Recently the senior women’s team joined forces with the under 16 and 18 girls for a mixed intra club match that highlighted the potential of the up-and-coming talent that gave some of the women’s team a challenge.
The game was described as a “fantastic night of fun football”.
