Victorians are encouraged to go online to discover if they are among thousands of people entitled to a pool of unclaimed money topping $109 million. 

The State Revenue Office, SRO, holds records of money that is unclaimed after 12 months, including refunds, rents and bonds, shared dividends, salaries and wages, debentures, interest, and proceeds from sales.

The SRO also holds Tattersalls, Intralot and Tabcorp prizes, as well as TAB winnings, that have been unclaimed for six months or more.

In Mitchell Shire, 4055 people are listed to be eligible to claim a total value of $476,987, while in Macedon Ranges, the total value is $879,598 to be claimed for 4690 entitlements.

In Whittlesea, 19,325 are waiting to be claimed for a total value of $2,452,042.

All Victorian businesses and trustees holding $20 or more in unclaimed money must record and keep the money for at least 12 months, then lodge it with the SRO.

Lodgements can be made via the SRO website.

Claimers must need a name or company name, and the address that is believed the unclaimed money lodging organisation would have had on file.
