Seymour’s Kings Park will be back in action on March Labour Day, with the annual show ’n’ shine event set to once again bring together car enthusiasts and community members for a day of all things cars.
The show ’n’ shine, hosted by the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn in partnership with Seymour and District Car Club, will feature a car show, swap meet, and market, as well as a wide range of food options, a raffle draw, auction, and entertainment for people of all ages.
It will be the first major event at King’s Park since last year’s floods, which required extensive recovery works by Mitchell Shire Council and the King’s Park Committee of Management for the park’s facilities to return to operation.
Lions Club events committee member Regina Young said organisers were excited to return to the park for another year.
“Our past two shows in 2020 and 2022 were very successful with over 3000 visitors, around 400 shows cars, over 60 swap meet sites and market stalls,” she said.
“It’ll be the first event at King’s Park since the floods, and we can’t use all the facilities we normally would but we’re grateful for what we can do.”
The Seymour Show ‘n’ Shine will be from 8am on Monday, March 13, with stall holders required to arrive at 6am.
Entry for display cars is $10 including all occupants, while spectators can enter with a gold coin donation.
All makes and models of cars are welcome with no pre-booking required, and money raised will go back to the Lions Club for future events.
