National Australia Bank, NAB, Kilmore branch has had its opening hours slashed and will now serve customers for only three hours each weekday.
From April 4, the bank’s open hours were reduced to 9.30am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday.
NAB retail customers executive Larna Mason said the move was in response to the changing way customers dealt with the bank.
“Today, 94 per cent of NAB customer interactions are taking place over the phone, by video or online,” she said.
“As customer habits change we are adapting how we operate our smaller, less-utilised branches.”
Ms Mason said outside of the branch’s opening hours customers could still use avenues such as an online chat service, inbound calls and video links to access support from the bank.
“If visiting the branch during these times is not convenient customers can also access their accounts for deposits and withdrawals at any of Australia Post’s 3500 Bank@Post locations around the country, including at the Kilmore LPO,” she said.
“Our branch team in Seymour are also able to serve our customers between 9.30am and 4.00pm, Monday to Thursday, and Friday until 5.00pm.
“In addition to this our smart ATM, NAB internet banking, the NAB app, or calling NAB on telephone banking are also available.
