A Kilmore woman received the shock of a lifetime on Wednesday after being told she was $10 million richer after Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto draw.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, was lost for words when she heard she was the lone division one winner.
“It’s scary, but good scary. I don’t know what to say,” she told a Tatts official.
“It’s just a wonderful feeling to know I’ll soon have $10 million in my bank account.
“I play Oz Lotto every week and a few months ago I won $78. I was so excited about that win I kept the ticket and was going to frame it.
“I never imagined I’d have a much bigger win than that. I’m so excited!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her truckload of cash, the thrilled woman said she might get some help with spring cleaning.
“I think I’ll have to come back down to earth before I can decide,” she laughed.
“I’ll help my kids out and my family but all I really want is a nice house.
“I’ve got a good car, but the service is overdue on that one. I won’t have to worry about that or any other bills now though.
“I’m actually in the middle of spring-cleaning my house and I’ve got rubbish everywhere.
“I’m thinking I might get some cleaners in to finish the job for me.”
The happy winner purchased her nine-game QuickPick entry at Kilmore Newsagency.
Kilmore Newsagency team member Maree Marr said she was excited her outlet had sold its biggest ever division one winning entry.
“I’m so excited! This is the biggest division one winning entry we’ve ever sold!” she said.
“The last one was a few years ago now so we are thrilled to have had another winner.
“I’ve been telling all of our customers that we’ve sold a big one and they are excited for us too.
“We are so pleased it was won by a local! We wish her all the best with her prize!”
