RAY Miller is a volunteer at Kilmore’s Dianella hostel with the official title of ‘People Connector’ However, his win in the 2017 Public Sector Residential Aged Care Services Celebrating Aged Care Awards, shows that his work at the hostel goes well beyond connecting people.
Kilmore and District Hospital CEO said that as a volunteer at Dianella Hostel for over six years Ray is best described as committed, passionate, a quiet conversationalist, a doer, meticulous, naturally talented, and a skilled handyman.
“His involvement in three projects in 2017 best describe his connecting of residents and families to personal interests, shared reminiscing, conversations, and as active participants in their lived environments,” Ms. Race said.
